1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to rajsportsbook.com and to any communication you have with us by email or telephone. In this document, “we”, “us” and “Raj Sports Books” refer to the operator of this website.

2. Information we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a bookstore.

2.1 Information you give us

• Order details — the name and email address you enter at checkout, so we can deliver your purchase and send a receipt.
• Correspondence — the contents of emails or calls you send us, so we can answer them and keep a record of the request.
• Newsletter signup — your email address, if you choose to subscribe.

2.2 Information stored only in your browser

Your cart, your wishlist and your light/dark theme preference are saved in your own browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data erases it permanently.

2.3 Information collected automatically

• Server logs — our web server records the IP address, timestamp, requested page, and browser user-agent for each request. These are standard technical logs used for security and diagnosing faults.

3. What we do not collect

We want to be specific about this, because it is unusual:

• We do not process or store card, UPI or bank details on this website.
• We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, and no advertising cookie on this site.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose, ever.
• We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other websites.

4. Cookies

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The only data stored on your device is the browser local-storage described in section 2.2, which is functional — the site cannot remember your cart or your theme choice without it. Because we set no tracking cookies, you will not see a cookie-consent banner.

We share personal information only where it is necessary to operate the service, and only with providers bound to protect it:

• Hosting provider — our servers are hosted with a third-party infrastructure provider who stores the data on our behalf.
• Payment gateway — where a payment is taken, it is processed by a regulated payment provider. Your card or UPI details go directly to them and are never held by us.
• Law enforcement — where we are legally compelled by a valid order under applicable law.

7. How long we keep it

• Order and transaction records — retained as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law, then deleted.
• Correspondence — up to 24 months from your last message.
• Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs — a rolling window, typically no more than 90 days.

8. How we protect it

The entire site is served over HTTPS with a valid TLS certificate, and HTTP requests are redirected to HTTPS automatically. We apply HTTP Strict Transport Security, a Content Security Policy, and other standard protective response headers. Access to any stored personal data is limited to the people who need it to do their job.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

You may ask us at any time to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything inaccurate;
• delete your data, where we are not legally required to keep it;
• stop using your data for a given purpose, or withdraw consent;
• provide your data in a portable, machine-readable format.

10. Children

This site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Some titles in our catalog deal with gambling history and gambling addiction and are written for an adult readership. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Links to other sites

Where we link to an external website, that site’s own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the content or the data practices of sites we do not operate.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will make that clear rather than relying on the date alone.
